Hurricane Helene Relief

The damages caused by Hurricane Helene have been overwhelming.  Severe flooding has washed away entire homes and businesses. Several families now find themselves homeless and without the basic needs or supplies.  In response to this devastating event, Northeast Church of Christ is partnering with other churches in the area to provide much-needed disaster relief.

 

 

 How We Are Helping

We are actively working with local churches to deliver essential supplies, including food, clothing, other basic needs and supplies to those affected by the hurricane.  Our commitment to the community is unwavering, and we will continue our relief efforts as long as there are people in need.

 

Current Needs

As we assess the situation, we have identified specific items that are urgently needed.  Please note we will update this list as needs change:

  • Monetary – In envelope labeled  “Disaster Relief” and put in donation box in the foyer or donate online. 
  • Winter Clothing (Adults and Youth) – gloves, coats, beanies, socks, etc.
  • Hand warmers
  • Baby Items – diapers, wipes, blankets, warm clothing, etc.
  • Paper Towels & Toilet Paper
  • Flashlights & Batteries
  • Sleeping Bags & Blankets
  • Portable heaters (Propane)
  • Camping Lanterns
  • Matches/Lighters
  • Canned Food with pull tops
  • Trash Bags
  • Paper Products For Food – plates, cups, bowls, etc.
  • Plastic Ware – forks, spoons, knives
  • Gift cards to Lowe’s and Home Depot 

How to Help

You can make a difference! Donations of specific items can be dropped off at our church during office hours.  Monetary donations can be put in an envelope labeled “Disaster Relief” and put in the donation box in the foyer or you can donate online below or through the Give menu link.
