Services Update as of March 18th
The Elders and ministers have been keeping track of the changing situation and all the recommendations given by the CDC, as many of you have – and have decided to suspend all activities here at the building. The office will continue to remain open during this time, but we will submit to the authorities in this matter of social distancing at the building until further notice.
HOWEVER, this does not mean that we will be canceling our time together. Over the next couple of days, you will see another e-mail from me as well as a call from a member of the leadership to explain and discuss our plan to meet in small groups over conference calls on Sunday so that we can continue to have times of study, prayer for one another, communion and the ability to talk about what is going on. This will certainly be a change from what we are all used to, and is different from what some other congregations are doing – but it was selected as our alternative because it adds the personal contact aspect that a Facebook live or other consumer-style media cannot achieve. Communion will be available for pick up from the building or delivery if you would like it, or of course you are welcome to purchase/make your own.
I ask for your patience and cooperation during this time, as well as your prayers and blessings on our leadership as they seek to wisely lead us through these difficult times in a way that pleases God and seeks to submit to the authorities. Please let us know if you have any questions
