Widowhood Ministry Mission

To provide a community where the widowed may live, heal, grow, and in time, thrive.

What is the Northeast Widowhood Ministry?

This is simply members
of our congregation who are caring for and encouraging widowed individuals by:

   Preparing/serving
a monthly fellowship meal in our fellowship hall

   Assisting in
minor homeowner needs

   Offering social
and emotional support

The Northeast Widowhood Ministry is a way to form new relationships with people having a common bond no matter where they live, what church they attend, or their circumstances.

The Widowhood Fellowship Meals are about encouragement and providing inspiration to help deal with the trials of life in
a way that continues to glorify God. It is important for the widowed individuals to be comfortable in social settings where they are the majority, not minority, at these monthly fellowship events. They can feel free to fellowship with others who have a special appreciation for the challenges of living after loss. Some will attend because they feel they need help. Others may attend because they want to provide help.

We ask that if you know of a widow or widower outside our congregation, please invite them to the Northeast Widowhood Fellowship on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 7:30 @ Northeast Church of Christ.

The Monthly Widowhood Fellowship Meals will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:00pm–7:30pm.

                         everyone involved.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
