Good Morning Family!

Good Morning Family!

I (Jay) am thankful for you and your presence here this morning!  My prayer this week has been that we will all come with soft hearts, focused minds and spirits that are bursting with thanksgiving for what has been done for us! After all, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24 ESV)

I know that we are still basically two weeks out from the youth and family minister candidate coming to visit, but I wanted to tell you a little about Mark and Ann as well as give you a quick synopsis of the events that will be going on so that you can free up your calendar and make sure you are around!

Mark is 25 years old and has been married to his wife Ann since June of 2015 and they have a baby boy named Emmett.  He graduated from Harding University in May of 2004 where he studied Youth and Family Ministry as well as Christian Counseling and Education.  Since then he has lived in Manchester, NH where he has been the Associate Minister at the Manchester Church of Christ where he has been leading singing, preaching monthly, teaching the teens, mentoring and planning all the youth events.

As far as his visit goes, the parts of the schedule that are of interest to you are:

Friday, July 14

8:30pm – 10:00? There will be a Nerf party here at the building for Mark, teenagers,

some of our older children and anyone else that wants to play.

Saturday July 15

11:30 am – There will be a pool party at Wimberley’s house for the Children’s Ministry

and their parents.  Mark will have some time to interact with the kids and

lead a devotional, and then the kids will enjoy swimming and let Mark and

Ann have the chance to meet and talk to parents.  Lunch will be provided!

Sunday July 16

Mark will teach the teen/parent class and then preach.

There will be a potluck lunch for the entire congregation.

Sunday evening we will have a singing service that Mark will participate in.

After evening services there will be a devotional for the youth group (including recent graduates and college students) and dinner will be provided.
