Jay Cline (Youth and Family Minister) has just recently begun his ministry here at Northeast. Here's a message from Jay. For most of my life I was a Florida boy and Mandy was a California girl. I grew up in a Christian home, with my dad being a minister my whole life.  Mandy grew up with loving parents, and was brought to the Lord by her grandmother who faithfully took all her granddaughters to church with her!  We met at Harding University from where we also graduated in 2004 and 2003 respectively receiving our bachelor’s degrees. I majored in Missions and Mandy in Social Sciences.  We got married in 2003, and shortly thereafter headed to China for 2 years where we got to put our training and faith to the test!  God tremendously blessed our efforts there while we relied on Him as persecutions mounted and became more and more aggressive.  Want to know more?  Come talk to me sometime!  After China, God led us to Vero Beach, FL where we had the pleasure of serving as the youth ministers to the teens there.  While in Vero, God also blessed us with our 3 great kids.  Ethan (4), Hailey (2) and Ashlyn (4 months as of Aug 2011) have been wonderful blessings and improved our ministry as we received an education of what it means to be a parent, and have gained insights into how God views us as His children.  During my time in Vero I grew a lot as a man of God, as a minister… and learned totally lessons about God’s faithfulness and mission.  I know God had a purpose for us being in Vero and that He has a purpose for us here in Kingsport!  What motivates my ministry is a belief that God’s mission to have the good news preached extends to the very ends of the earth, but starts here where you are now and includes everyone who has made Jesus their Lord…so we are all supposed to be involved!  I love digging in the word and finding answers to the hard questions in life, and teach/study with the idea that all scripture is God breathed useful for teaching.  It brings me such joy to be able to sit down with people and study with them, and watch the lights come on in their mind as they make connections and realize what God is saying to them through His word!

Judy Jones (church secretary) has been married to her husband Lance for 43 years. Lance and Judy have one daughter and three beautiful granddaughters. Both Lance and Judy were baptized thru studying with a dear friend and have been members at Northeast for 41 years.  She has served as a secretary at Northeast for the last 18 years. Along with reading and cooking, Judy loves spending time with and spoiling her granddaughters. She is always happy to be available to help members with various projects or work they may need done.

Nancy Perry (receptionist/secretary). Reared in Middle Tennessee, Nancy has lived in East Tennessee for 34 years. She has always enjoyed church work.
